Seasons Greetings !!!

Morning all

Looks like a better day today - in that it is not raining.

Had a bit of a day when I thought things were not going right.... I played with my
encaustic wax art and could not get the "feel" of the work.

Then tried doing a bit of watercolour painting - disaster.

So thought get down and do a bit of stamping.

Great - success.

So here is one of my card that I made yesterday my first Christmas card of the year !!!

I used my new AlteNew stamps that I got from Seven Hills Craft
great store pop over to see what they have - great prices too.

I stamped the images using AlteNew Lava ink onto white card
added the branches of the trees with black ink.

Added glitter for the snow and coloured just lightly the sky with
blue distress ink.

Added peel off stars in the sky.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the

Here are my creations using wax. Looking at them today I can see
different images in the "blue" pictures....

Fingers crossed will be out in the garden picking fruit. Had terrible wind the other day
where it snapped off my dahlias to the ground. Fruit seemed ok staying on the branches tight.
But must get out and rescue what I can today.

Liked the idea the other day from Cara to make summer pudding with my fruit. :)

Have a good day and thank you so much for all your kind good
wished for my daughter's birthday.

Butterflies Yellow and years Happy Birthday Kathy

Good Morning all

Here is my card today for the Butterfly Challenge of Yellow Years and Butterflies

I made this card with my daughter Kathy in mind as it was her birthday on
28th June and she is 39 years. Where does the time go ???

So here is her card - I hope she liked it.... ;)

I first used the Rubbernecker stamps to make the flowers using yellow and orange with black
for the stems and edges....

added a yellow edge to the topper using watercolour paints.

Mounted onto yellow glitter card onto an embossed card blank.

The card blank I gave a little hint of yellow to bring it all together.

Then added the embellishments of butterflies, yes yellow ones, and an old
favorite peel offs for the sentiments.

Die cut out the numbers in yellow scrap bit of card and added a few stars too.

I hope you like it and gives you some inspiration for the next challenge

Good luck with the challenge and I look forward to
seeing your work.

Afternoon all

How are you today? Been out shopping first thing this morning but the
big new is that my Daughter Kathy is 39 years old today.

Where does the time go.

I had a "brain wave" while shhh... in the bath last night
for the Challenge "Dog under the Sea"

Just had to give it another try :)

So here is my card today.

I started off stamping the dog onto a scrap of white card.

Then around him stamped the scene.... of the under sea world using
Hobby Art Stamps.

Made little fish by hand with a black pen and added bubbles for air.

I have tried to make him look as if he is swimming -

I would like to enter it for the following

Here is the fruit I picked yesterday

How many different fruits can you see.....

Does not look like I will be out in the garden today the weather has changed
feeling rather cold and the heavens have opened.

So think it is an afternoon in doors.

Look forward to seeing you and thank you for your
wonderful comments since I started my blog.

Not sure where the time goes especially seeing it is my
eldest daughters birthday !!

Hiya thank you for taking the time to pop over
to my blog.

What are you up to today?

Here is my card.

A very quick card for me to make today.

Used a topper from Kanban which had butterflies and an oval
just right for the next challenge over at Butterfly challenge

I coloured the white card blank with my Aqua watercolour pens
in Olive colour.

Mounted the topper onto the card blank.

Added a butterfly which again I coloured so that it was olive.

I would like to enter it for the following

I just want to say how much I enjoy reading your comments and they mean
the world to me.

It is over cast today and probably no gardening but I must get out
to pick the fruit which is coming thick and fast now.

Love this time of year when I can fill the freezer for the winter with fruit
from the garden.

Runner beans are beginning to flower so fingers crossed for a bumper crop
this year to make my "bean chutney" a great favorite with the family.

Well best get on cakes to bake today

Have a good day

Under the sea dream

Afternoon all

Here we are on Sunday and I have been busy making cards
for my Mum she wanted some birthday cards.

But in between I have made this card.

Yes it is a strange theme thanks to The Craft Barn challenge.

Dog under the sea.

I thought along the lines of a dream where 2 dogs are in a
conversation bubble bobbing alone under the sea, watching the seahorses go by.

I used a variety of stamps from Little Claire, Clarity, and Hobby Art
to make the picture.

First I stamped the dogs and word bubbles and then used masking fluid to
mask off the bubbles.

Painted the background

Used various watercolour paints and inks.

Then made the sea scene with stamps and hand painted seaweed.

Mounted onto a card blank and coloured in the edges with distress inks to
bring down the colour of the card blank

I hope you like it

and would like to enter it for the following hope it is ok that I have 2 dogs ;)

I hope you have a good day and enjoying your weekend.

Thank you for popping in

and I look forward to seeing you again.

Tonight I will have Glastonbury on again and do a bit of reading
at the same time.

Take care

Butterflies oval and olive all in one

Morning all and thank you for popping over to see

Here is my card for today

First I wanted to make a summer scene with flowers, rabbits and butterflies.

I cut out an oval shape from a scrap of white card. Using a hill and valley mask with a
moon/ sun mask inked up the background first.

Then I used Card-io stamps to create the picture using black ink.

Made a mat layer of black and mounted the picture onto a dotty Olive blank
card blank from Craftwork cards.

Added a dotty ribbon at the bottom and a bow.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the

Well that is it for now just a quick blog today - need to get out into the garden
and hope to get a walk in later today.

Have a good one and chat tomorrow

Hiya thank you for popping over to see me today.

It is a historic day here in the UK .... time will tell.

I have been working on the next Calendar challenge and here is my

I followed as best I could the instructions on the Clarity Stamp Calendar for the
month of June.

The main problem was that I did not have any circle groovi plates so used the
deckle edge circles.

It took me quite some time to get it done as I did not wish to rush the
white work, leaving it a couple of days in between the next section of work.

I have used one of my background papers which I had made for one of the
other calendar challenges.... the blue and green dapple papers.

I hope you like it

and would like to enter it for the

Thank you for popping over to see me today.

Been a lot of rain over the last few days but was able to pick some fruit yesterday
so hopefully be out in the garden again today to pick
those currants before the birds get them.

Just in from the garden with a container full of raspberries, red currants,
gooseberries, and an armful of rhubarb.

Oh and I ate two blackcurrants that were ready.

Here is my card for today.

I have used Little Claire Design stamp of houses.

Stamped onto one of my stash of backgrounds.

Used watercolour pens to paint in the picture

Used an alcohol black pen around the edges and used the same card
for another layer.

Hope you like it and would like to enter it for the

Well what can I say - those that have seen my post
with Myrtle will know that I was sending the picture to
my Mum.

It arrived today - and to say she was pleased is an understatement.
She was nearly in tears with joy.

So that has made my day.

I am sure I will be doing more pictures in pastels very soon
as I found it a medium lovely to work with.

Anyway best get on fruit to process

Afternoon all

bit late in the day today for me - as I am just back from a 190 mile round trip with
my partner taking our car to be fixed !! Had to trailer the vehicle all the way
and coming back thought - would go across Dartmoor - not a good idea
as the road were so narrow single lane and with a trailer it was a bit tight at times

So here today is something I did the other day

It is my 2nd try with pastels and it is Mums cat Myrtle

Here is the finished picture

Here is a photo of her.....

In the making :)

I have sent the picture to Mum yesterday and so she should receive it tomorrow
all being well. A big surprise hopefully.

The photo shows the white a little brighter than it actually is for some reason
and the eyes are not so "wild" in the picture so bare with please.

I used Velour paper and soft pastels

I hope you like it and would love to hear your thoughts

Thanks for popping over to see me today
and I look forward to seeing you again very soon.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone's work with the Indigoblu challenge

Good morning All

I am really pleased to be able to show case my card as a Guest Designer for

this months Challenge over at IndigoBlu

I am very excited to have the opportunity to
use one of my new stamps  Elsie

Here is my card

First I used one of my new winning stamp Elsie - she is so beautiful - and  used  permanent ink Archival Tree Branch to ink her
onto a shinny card stock. Was not sure if I needed a mask so stamped a faint image in
black just in case.

Here is the selection of the products I used

I used Cosmic Shimmer teal paints around her to make a texture
affect and did not need the mask as the paints were so easy to use.

Added brown ribbon around the edge of the topper using red tape.

Using a white card stock I then coloured the card with the Colour Cloud
Teal to bring the colours all together and mounted onto a white card blank.

I added extra texture paint using the Shinny acrylic paints

Used die cut flowers, around the edges of the topper which again I coloured with Colour Cloud.

Added teal glitter to the centers and added a brown bow.

Three drops of glitter to the corners and used five flowers at the top
and three at the bottom trying to balance the picture.

I hope you like it

On the high seas

Morning all

Well the rain kept on coming yesterday and still today so not a
gardening day today.

Been busy sorting out my "stuff" and then remembered my blog.

So here I am with my card for today

I have used Little Claire stamp to make this card to
create a Seascape scene

I used up one of my background papers :)

Stamped the image onto the card -
coloured in with watercolour paints and highlighted the
clouds and sea with white acrylic paint.

I do love how the acrylic gives texture.

Added a ribbon from my Crafty ribbons bargain bag

Mounted onto a piece of card stock to blend in with the idea
of the sea.

and mounted onto a card blank.

I would like to enter it for the following

Rock on ....

Afternoon all,

What a day - very heavy rain here today, non stop. So glad I got out into the
garden yesterday.

What have I been doing today - that thing I do not like doing

But I have got a card made today ;)

So all is well with me today.

Here it is

I have used Sheena Douglass rubber stamp using black permanent ink onto
one of my background papers.

The background paper is made with shaving foam with distress inks.

Great fun - but you do end up with loads of background papers.

So using up some of my stash.

I then used snippets of ribbon from Crafty Ribbons bargain bag.

Used red tape to attach to the "topper"

Thought the black with gold edges would go well with the theme of the
rock band.

Mounted onto a blue card blank
and added a sentiment.

I hope you like it
and would like to enter it for the following

Thank you for popping over.

I hope you are having a lovely day - I am remembering my Dad
today being Fathers Day.... Sad he is no longer here, it seems only
like yesterday and yet it is over 18 years now.

How time goes by....

Well best be getting on.... over and out

Daisy thanks

Well here we are again and it is the weekend !!!

Where does the time go. Just back from town, needed to post a parcel and
get some thread for my new material.... fingers crossed I remember how
to use my sewing machine. I do love fabric :)

Here is my card for today

My card today is following the sketch design again (well almost)

I started off with a scrap of card and inked up the flowers with AlteNew
Daisy stamps using their inks.

Added the leaves making a row at the bottom to make the bottom "line"

Added a butterfly to the "middle" line

and a sentiment from using the AlteNew Label stamps to the top "line"

All made with scraps added a dash line around the edge of the card having
brushed over with yellow distress ink which was "left" on my brush.

Also added glitter to the daisies but you can not see it in the picture :(

Waste not want not ... as my Dad use to say.

Mounted onto another scrap of red card and onto a white card blank.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following
to follow the sketch and garden theme ;)

Have a lovely day and look forward to
seeing your comments.

I really appreciate  all that you say and read every one.

K is for ..... Kingfisher

Morning and thank you for popping over to see my blog

Had a good day yesterday - went to the Village Hall Coffee Morning
and sold a couple of my cards.

It is always nice to meet up with fellow village folk for a natter
and of course cakes.

Took some of my books to recycle - we have a sort of library of books which
we sell for a grand total of 20 pence each and once we have finished with them
return for another to read. It all adds up for the funds to help run the Village Hall.

Anyway I digress

Here is my card for today

K is for .... Kingfisher.

Bought new stamps from Hobby Art the other day and thought great I can use them
for this challenge

I used Kraft card and cut out a tag to keep with the theme of using tags for this challenge
also keeping in with the theme "of mine" animals or plants.

I put gesso over the kraft card to add a bit of background texture

Stamped the image with gray permanent ink

Coloured in with watercolour pencils and brush.

Added the definition and letter

I hope you like it

I would like to enter it for the following
