Spots and stripes another take

Morning all and thank you for popping over today.

Been playing with all sorts of things this morning, paints, stamps, stencils,
canvas, paper, glue and stuff.

Too much I know - but there it is... sometimes things come from just playing.

So here is my card for today.

I started off with a sheet of Craftwork Cards paper with stripes and dots on.

Then stamped with green distress ink the Button tree.

Then using all sorts of different pens, paints and candi filled in the tree.

Mounted to a white card blank and added button gingham strip candi to the corners
and a Craftwork cards flower.

Made out of bibs and bobs and just playing.

I would like to enter it for the following

Challenges

Well I am not sure where the time goes again it is nearly to the end of the week.

I have a great Oldie for tomorrow over at Erika's :)

Found it while I was looking for something on my hard drive....;)

The sun is shinning now so think the garden may be calling me. Got french beans to
pick - think they will go into chuntey as there are far too many.

The freezer is getting so full with peas, never has so many but that is great for
the winter.

Best get on - have a great day and look forward to hearing from you again.

The latest on Mum is that she is now talking about getting a "thing" so that she can have a bath,
one of those things that go across the bath to lower you down.
As I have mentioned to her yesterday - you have to be quite agile to be able to sit on one
and also what about when you lie down in the bath - how are you going to get back up.

Watch this space.

Right must go now

Thanks again for popping in

  6. Wonderful card, love the different materials filling the bubbles.
If your Mum is thinking of one of the belt/strap things that lower you into the bath, I don't recommend them. You need really good sitting balance as unless you are sat bang in the middle one side will lower quicker than the other and there is no back support. Because the belt moves there is also the risk of skin sheering as obviously you are not wearing clothes when using it. The rigid bath lifts are much better, then stop an inch or two short of the bottom of the bottom of the bath, but they are much more supportive. Your Mum may need a carer to help lift her legs over the side of the bath and may need a bath step so she can have her feet/foot on something solid to help position her on the bath lift. There are reclining models available. Feel free to email me should you want any more info. Cara (occupational therapist) x

  7. This is lovely, great use of the card candi. My Mum has a lovely light seat in her bath with a control to go up and down and a stool from social services so she can step on that to get out. Sounds like your Mum needs assessing x

  8. Your card is very pretty Pen. I like the bubble stamps.

I hope things get put in place for your mum. My aunt had her bath replaced with a large walk in shower with hand rails and a chair. Barbxx

  9. My neighbour used to have one of those cushions that inflates and deflates to raise and lower you into the bath. I think her son said he got it off eBay but it did the job for her. She was quite frail and had osteoporosis.
