Donkey and others

Afternoon all

Hope you are warm today it has been really brrrrrr here. Had to go into town this morning
bank, post office and the like and travelling in the car was showing
down to minus 7 !!!

Here at home it was minus 4.

However I have been out in the garden today digging up my dahlias should have
done it ages ago but like most things crafting has got in the way.

I have the Village Hall Coffee morning craft table tomorrow so just finishing off
some of my cards.

Then on Saturday a Christmas Craft Fair.

All go

So for today it is just a very quick card using Hunkydory topper and card stock.

Really like this image of the donkeys. Something rather gentle about them
dont you think.

The funny speckles are gold edges to the images.

Love having the opportunity to make quick cards and this is what Hunkydory
does for me.

I would like to enter it for the following

Very happy to say I made the top selection over at Crafting from the Heart last challenge

Scrappy Cat

Afternoon all and hope you are surviving the Black Friday Sales.

I have been busy this morning baking cakes and booo hooo just burnt the stewing apples.

Here is a quick card which I have made out of a whole load of snippets.

First I cut up strips of snippet card which were left over into squares

mounted onto a sticky paper

And mounted eventually once happy onto pink card again from my stash.

Then cut out a cat from a scrap of paper

Added a few nuvo dots and butterfly with a sentiment.

I hope you like it -

Bit of a short post today

Things to do but enjoyed doing a bit of creative crafting this afternoon.

Even with the smell of burnt apples.

Have a great evening

Friday Oldie on Saturday

AFternoon all and thank you for popping in

Been out to see my Grandson today which was lovely boy how they grow.

Sorry to have missed my post yesterday it was just one of those days.

Saw this on Facebook yesterday and thought how right this is "for me"

do you have so much stuff that you wonder if you will ever use it all.

Was busy first thing this morning making some Hunkydory cards with a new parcel of
goodies which arrived yesterday.
Just love these .... how about you.

Think I will show something old for over on Erika's Oldie Friday for today
as the time is rolling on and I have more of those pine cones to make before tea.

So here is my Oldie. It is a Craftwork Cards image with candi. I have sold
loads of this design and wish I could get more of these toppers.

any ideas? I have tried the various auction sites and direct but no luck yet.

I still have several available so I am ok for now.

I hope you like it and have a great evening.

A different butterfly

Afternoon all and thank you for coming over to see me today.

Would like to welcome my latest follower Sonia lovely to see you
and I look forward to your comments.

Well I have been sort of in a bubble today doing all sorts of things
watching TV and making bibs and bobs.

So here is my card for today. I remembered I had the Hunkydory Flutterby collection and
there was a shaped card in the collection.

So with Navy in mind here is my card.

Really simple all I needed were a few foam pads and a little glue.

I hope you like it.

I would like to enter it for the following

I would like to wish all a Happy Thanksgiving Day

Very cold and windy here today.... but warm in doors.

Got to say that I do love my daily blogging time with you. It helps me keep
focused. However I am sure I should be doing something else - like housework.

Will keep that for the weekend. Washing is done almost daily although there are only
two of us. Should have done the washing today as it would have dried lovely outside
although it may have blown away.

Best get on with my card making for the Village Christmas Fair.

Have a great day

Geese in among the poppies

Afternoon everyone and thank you for coming over to see me today.

I have been working on the next Challenge over at Clarity - November Challenge

So here is my project and photos of my steps.....

This has been an interesting challenge this month as there are several new things for
me to learn. Stamping onto tissue paper, colouring tissue paper.
Wonder if the geese should have been a bit brighter  - but it is done now

Used various paint to make this....all acrylic but different types.

I decided to make this canvas with poppy flowers as these are my favorite flower.

Hope you like it .....

An interesting reading today

" Every time a person laughs, she adds a few days to her life"

Now is that not the truth...  it is just a matter of

I try to smile every time I am out shopping or just walking. It is surprising how
many people do not smile. I know that sometimes things are difficult but if one
tries to look happy I find it helps.

Well best get the chicken on - not the goose.

Bling it again

Good afternoon all

Hope you are well and the rain has not affected you too much.

Bit of a nightmare getting into town today with mud on the roads - can see where the rain
had been yesterday. Our road just down the lane was still like a river this morning
fortunately not too deep.

I have had another go today making a card for the Craft Barn Challenge

This time I have kept hopefully to the colours.

I have used a new Hunkydory Little Book topper, cut it down but made
sure I kept the Butterfly at the top.

Mounted onto a turquoise snippet of card onto the white card blank.

Then to Bling it UP I added coloured sequins purple, turquoise, and green and
added pearls to the flowers.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Anyway I best leave it there for now.

Got to say it is rather cold so sitting here with a thick long cardie on. But what should I
expect at this time of year.

Think it must be cuppa time

So will say bye for now and take care.

Thank you for your comments over the last few days really love
hearing from you.

Butterfly Bling

Good evening and thank you for coming over

I do hope all of you who are in the UK like me are safe and not flooded.

We are having terrible weather even making the National News. We are ok being on
"stilts" so to speak with our Log Cabin, and we are on high ground.
I gather nearly all the road around us are like rivers.

I have made this card today as I like Blue.

I have used a Navy card stock onto white card. Used a cut down piece of paper from
Crafting World of Crafts - just love the pattern.

Then used Hunkydory topper and butterflies.

Had to bling up with sequins in dark blue.

I would like to enter it for the following

Well must dash as I was going to enter this card for the Craft Barn Challenge and see
the colour is wrong - never mind will try again tomorrow

Have a safe and restful evening.

Navy Blue

Afternoon all, thank you for popping over today

Hope you are having a good weekend. Weather a little better today
dry for the moment but boy what a night I gather.

I fortunately slept all the way through it, but the bins were all over the garden and
lots and lots of rain in the tubs.

Been playing today with Shaving Foam and using up some of my snippets of
card. Those bits that went wrong but on the other side I could use.

So here is my card for today

Shaving foam with inks - mix up and squiggle card stock onto it

I have used a section of the now made Navy blue background to stamp
a Hobby Art Poppy stamp onto.

Coloured in with dark blue alcohol pens.

Mounted onto Navy snippets of card and used snippets of ribbon from
my Crafty Ribbons stash. But coloured in the white dots with Navy pen

Cut out some Butterflies from a Hunkydory scrap of acetate.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Thank you for coming over to see me today.

Got to get back into the swing of entering my projects - been a bit tied up
with getting things ready for the Christmas Fair next month
only 2 weeks away. So please bare with me if I am not around so much
over the next few days.

Blast from the Past

Morning all and thank you for popping in today.

I hope you are all ok and well.

What a strange night, hail, thunder and lightening.

I was thinking about the latest challenge over at Clarity Stamps Blast from the Past

Now the stamps which I use every year are these on my card.

I have used the Manger stamp without the words for this card.

Added the 3 wise men and the star. I have used the Misti stamping tool
which helps to get an even pressure and colour over the white card blank.

If you are not totally happy with the black you can ink again and not worry about
movement of the stamps giving a ghost image.

Then I used the Clarity blending mat to make the background using Clarity Brushes.

Final step to mount onto white card blank.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Thank you for popping in to see me and to see what I have been up to.

I have the Village Hall Coffee Morning tomorrow and been very busy replacing
my stocks.

I have used Penny Black Poinsettia stamp onto one of my mopped up papers, was not
totally happy with it when I stamped it, some weeks ago. However I came back to it
yesterday and thought I know .....

Cut it down inked round the edges mounted onto another mat onto a card blank.

Then used glitter to paint over the flower and added sequins over the card.
Added Glossy Accents to the berries too.

Sunday Walk

Good afternoon - well it is almost evening now.

I have been making Christmas Cards today and got a bit carried away with the time.

Wanted to show you one this evening but the light is terrible and so the photo
is no good. Will show you tomorrow.

So tonight I will show you a few photos which I took on our walk on Sunday.

What a change in weather from Sunday to today. Fog, mist and rain today.
And cold.

It was a lovely walk around Arlington Court Woods - a National Trust place
where Den works and I use to work.

We went for around 2.5 miles and it felt good. It is something which we
said on Sunday we must do more. Just go out for a walk. I have to say that we both
fell asleep in the chair in the evening. Completely missed a new programme good job
I recorded it.

So here are the photos

You will see a photo of Exmoor ponies - they are used for conservation grazing
over the Estate.

If you have a chance do look up on-line about more information in regards to Arlington Court

"Arlington Court was built for Colonel John Chichester in 1820-3 by the Barnstaple architect Thomas Lee. The Neo-classical exterior is dominated by a single-storey Greek Doric porch. This austere façade belies its warm and sumptuous interiors, several of which were decorated in the late 1830s by John Crace and bear evidence of the influence of Sir John Soane. This is especially apparent in the anteroom with its shallow dome, segmental arches and mirrored panels. The morning room, ante room and drawing room on the south front have sliding screens that, when closed, form one long tripartite gallery. The ceilings feature delicate neoclassical plasterwork and the morning room retains original wallpaper from the 1830s.
  National Trust Carriage Museum
Arlington is also home to one of the country's foremost carriage museums housing a representative range of carriage types. The museum is housed in the original stable block built for Sir Bruce Chichester in 1864."

Thank you for popping in today and I look forward to
hearing from you again very soon.

I is for ......

A very good afternoon to you all.

Thank you for coming over to see me and thank you for your comments
on my blog. They are all read and I get so much joy from them.

Here is my project for today.

Although I have been busy with my "egg decorations" I have had time to
do a tag today.

I have used Sheena Douglass stamp with Aqua pens first to stamp the image

then I used Alcohol pens to colour in the flower. I tried to use water first with the
watercolour but that did not work (how I wanted)

So Alcohol pens were great, blending in all the shades to create this flower.

I think I may be converted.... to these pens.

Added some distress ink, left on my brush to colour the background.

So I would like to enter this for the following

Thank you for coming over and I look forward to your visit again.

I will post my photos of yesterdays walk in the next few days just need to re size them

OOOOO just seen I can now put emoji into my post.

Friends never fade

Good afternoon all and thank you for popping in to see me today.

It is a time to remember and think about our friends, family and loved ones today.

I have been on a beautiful walk this morning with Den my partner and I will show you
the photos tomorrow.

But for today here is my card

It is Clean and Simple card which I think will be just right for a dear Friend of mine.

She lives many miles away and she is always in my thoughts.

I have used the Penny Black Stamp using my new Misti

Stamped onto white card and then used a smoothie with Peacock distress ink too
halo the flower.

Then used a sentiment which says it all.... for today and always.

I would like to enter it for the following

I would like to welcome my new follower today.

The sun is shinning and now time for a cuppa "me thinks"

So here it is .....

First Do you Remember this date

Yes it was to Celebrate the Queens Birthday

And here is a photo which I took a few years ago which I call
Leopard Stones.

It is taken through water, a small river near to us taken one summers day.

Roll on the summer.....

Been a horrid day here weather wise, wet and fog.

Well I hope you have had a good day and look forward to seeing you again
