Snowing at Christmas time

Morning all

Well that has been interesting been rummaging around in
my card stash box.

And found something which I had started to make last year.

Like most things - did not seem right at the time but could not bare to throw it away
and today - bingo - revamped it and made this card.

I first as I remember used a blue background mopped up paper and stamped
using Clarity wee stamps the images and Clarity stamp for the words

I used Denim ink to stamp the wee folk on this card.

Used my pencils to colour in the words.

I cut down the image and used something different today to make
the snow drops in the background

Thin bleach. Yes bleach - just dotted around with a paint brush and flicked
bleach over the picture.

Mounted onto black to make it pop

and white card stock with the ribbon from Crafty Ribbons stash
to the corners.

Mounted onto a white card stock which I have coloured with blue to bring the
whole card together.

Finally added some snowflake peel offs and glitter on the bleach snowflakes

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Challenges

Well that is it for now.

Hope you are not getting too caught up in the Christmas rush.

Interesting thought today

" In the season when busyness is expected and certainly encouraged by the media,
when "shop til you drop'
 is the rule of thumb,
and when frenzy and spending are the norm, we might try life another way.

So very true .... time to slow down and have a cuppa.

Bread to make so I am off now. Hope to catch up with my reading
of the blogs

Have a great day

    1. Second attempt - spelling mistake in first !
A great card to start this month's Challenge, Pen. I like your chosen palette too. I've used the same ribbon stamp for my cards this year, in fact only finished colouring them last night as whilst about to write them, discovered I'd only coloured the first dozen. Best wishes and thank you for sharing. Wishing you a very happy 'festive' season.
