Winters walk

Thank you for popping in today, hope you are well
and enjoying the day.

I usually go shopping on a Tuesday but as I went into town yesterday
I did all my shopping yesterday.

Funny how you get use to certain things at certain times... seems very
strange to be home this morning.

So I have spent the morning playing with a new rubber stamp
from Penny Black. Called Hidden Lane

I used my Misti to help stamp the image although the first attempt went a
bit wrong as the paper moved.

So here is my card for today with a few photos of the steps along the way.

I found I could layer up the depth of the colour by using different watercolour
inks and re inking.

I mat and layered onto black card to make the image pop.

I am sure this will be my favorite stamp for Christmas cards.....

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Boy it has turned into a hooly outside, wind, hail, and rain all together.

Best be going for now and look forward
to seeing you again

Take care

Unfolding with oven mats

Good afternoon and thank you for popping in today.

How is it with you today?

What strange weather we are having here in North Devon,
sun, rain, hail, snow, wind and cold.....

Good job we can not do anything with the weather.

So been doing a bit of crafty work this afternoon after shopping this morning

And here is my card.

I have used the Penny Black stamp The Unfolding

I just love this stamp.

I stamped it using my Misti with watercolour inks.

You may see that the background has a few watermarks that is done after
I brushed blue around the edges.... splattering water over the picture.

Added a sentiment and mat and layered onto blue white black card stock
finally onto a white card blank.

Added the sentiment

Hope you like it
I would like to enter it for the following

Now yesterday I mentioned I would be "playing " with my sewing machine.

Well here are a couple of hot plate mats I have made.

The first is with something I won via a well known Craft Chanel.

Using different layers of material including a heat resistant special material.

Made another one with a scrap of material - this one is slightly better
with the bias binding.... a bit neater....

but when it is for yourself it does not matter.

Anyway I hope you are safe and well and look forward
to hearing from you again.

Sunday Rooster

Hi there and thank you for popping in

Hope you are well and that you will be having a great day.

Here is my card for today

I started off with an already splattered watercolour paper
and used the Clarity Rooster stamp.

Stamped the rooster onto one of the pieces of paper in black
archival inks.

Then took my Derwent Intense pencils and coloured in.....

Added watercolour paints for the background... adding pencil strokes for the
grass and cosmic shimmer paint for the sky....

There is a sheen to the grass and sky but the picture does not show it...?

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the

Thank you for your visit and hope to see you again

Had a good time out in the garden yesterday before the rain came.

Think I may get out my sewing machine today and try to make
some oven gloves !!!

Please to say that I made the top 3 with the
Crafty ribbons Challenge over on Facebook with my wee ribbon bag

Well Deer

Good afternoon

Thank you for popping over to my blog today

Hope you are well and enjoying your day.

Been out in the garden again this morning before the rain comes. Had a major
problem with a rose... it has so many runners it is going all over the garden.
Talk about putting something in the wrong place.
Well it took Den with his digger to move it...and it will take probably all
summer to get rid of the runners.

A lovely rose very small white flowers... but it had to be moved.

Well that aside here is my card for today.

I have used Clarity Stamps to stamp the image using
Denim ink for the sky and black for the Deer.

I have stamped it straight onto a white card blank.

I highlighted the ground around the deer to ground them on the page.

I think it works and I hope you like it, think it would work for a Christmas card

I would like to enter it for the following

Thank you for your visit

Have a good day and look forward to seeing you again
very soon

warm and almost spring like.

Here is my card for today.

I have used the Jayne's Agapanthus stamp from Clarity Stamps

with the Jayne's frame stamp too.

Stamped the image onto the New papers from Clarity

Used my Derwent Intense pencils to colour in.

onto a white card blank.

I like how the black card makes the image pop

Wind of Change

Good afternoon

Hope you are safe and well, it is very windy here
in North Devon but the sun is shining.

I have been using up all my scraps today or should I say snippets.

I started off with a piece of yupo paper which I had been playing with
and did not know what to do with it at the time

Using Yupo paper I used at the time green and blue alcohol inks
and let the inks to their own thing.

With all this wind I thought about the Clarity stamps I have.

So here is the result

First I stamped the tree in black archival inks and then the wee man with
his brolly

Finally added the sentiment.

Love those words.

Next was to mat and layer onto black card scrap

then used up a blue sheet of foam made backing paper.

Then onto another bit of black and white card stock.

I would like to enter it for the following

Well that is it for now.

Keep safe and see you tomorrow all being well

Glad to say that I made the top 3 with the Crafty Ribbons
Facebook challenge

with my wee bag.

Take care

Hydrangea for you

Afternoon - and thank you for popping in
to see me today on my blog.

Have been busy playing with Serif CraftArtist 2 this morning
and hopefully you will see my results next month.... on what I have been doing today.

But in the mean time here is my card for today.

I have used the new AlteNew Hydrangea stamp for this card.

I started off with a white piece of paper.

Stamped the flower image in several colours and made a mask
from a bit of paper to stamp the leaves.

I had a bit of colour still on my mat so I sprayed with water and mopped up the
colours to make the "hallo" background.

Had a rummage around in my stash and found my glossy Accents
bit bunged up and added centers to the flowers.

Added a butterfly and mat and layered onto Slate Blue card stock
finally onto a white card blank.

Added a sentiment from the Hydrangea stamp set.....

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Thank you for your visit today.

The weather is terrible here in North Devon, rain and very strong winds.
They forecast a wind called Doris later for today / tomorrow
so it will be a case of being in doors again.

A few daffodils are out and getting battered around.

Nature does have alot to answer to but it is a marvel how things
survive, dont you think.

Well got roast chicken to cook so best be going

Have a good day

Vintage Love

Afternoon all

Hope you are well and having a great day.

Horrid weather here again, a day to be inside. Thick fog / rain.

Here is my entry for the IndigoBlu Challenge

I have tried something different this time using a variety of stamps
on a Pan Pastel background.

I stamped in a Adirondack Rust ink the various stamps onto the paperstock.

I should add that I used cheap hair spray to "set" the pan pastels on the paper....
works a treat.

I then used Kraft card to make a background stamping the word Hope and music
around the edges

Next to add the picture which I tore around the edge and inked in brown
Added lace and ribbon, heart, and pearls.

And mat and layered onto black card and more Kraft card.

I hope you like it

Flowers for Mum

Hiya - thank you for popping in and seeing me

always love to hear from you.

Been working on the next challenge using the Groovi System from

So here is my card for today, I have made it from Mum

I first started with the wee daisy plate

To make the main part of the image and then used the

Art Nouveau Poppies Groovi Plate A5
to make a boarder around the flowers.

Then took several days to do the white work !!!

Resting the parchment after each session

Finally added Derwent Softcolour pencils to the back of the parchment

Die cut out a mauve circle of card and used red tape to fix the parchment
to the card stock
that was fun.... rather difficult to stick.

Then took a sheet of

Die cut out a circle and mat and layered onto a 6" white card blank

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Thank you for your visit.

And I look forward to hearing from you as to what you think of
my latest parchment efforts.

Have a great day and all being well will see you again.

Green Wheels ..... Man

Morning and thank you for popping in this Sunday morning
or when ever you do.....

So nice of you to come over to visit me here on my blog.

What a change in the weather from yesterday, light rain this morning
so no gardening today (yet)

I have made a card today using several different items

But first here is my card

The goodies I used. Gold sparkle pen and Greens from AlteNew inks pads

Sheena Douglass stencils

First I used a piece of white paper and used the green inks using a smoothie to
colour the card stock.

Stenciled in a dark green the camper van adding the tie dye stencils around the edges and on
the camper van.

Then used the gold sparkle pen to edge the picture.

Sorry the picture does not show the gold up very well but it is there.
Mounted onto a white 6" card blank

As there was no where to add the sentiment today I have added it inside.
Keeping with the green theme.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Well I had best get on, cakes to bake, housework to do...

Have a great day and see you again

Man - go with the flow

Well here we are again and it is Saturday !!

Were did that week go.

Cakes are in the oven, washing is pegged out and now its time for
me to write my blog.

Here is a card I have been working on yesterday.

I have used the New AlteNew Jellyfish stamps and New AlteNew inks
both bought from Seven Hills Craft.

Fantastic service I hasten to add....

Over at Seven Hills Blog Challenge it is with a theme of colours
so I have used the first pallet of colours

Selection of the inks and the stamp with a few mopped up papers

I just had to go with the greens and blues as these are my favorite colours at the moment.

You may see just in the corner of the photo here a Versamark ink pad - I find if I stamp
the stamps in that first I do not get so much of a bleed on the inks.

Stamped the jellyfish onto a mopped up paper background
Drew in a few seaweeds with pencils keeping to the colour theme
and added using charcoal pencils stones for the bottom of the sea.

Stamped the sentiment which I just love.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Hope you have a great a day and hope to be back tomorrow

Time to get out in the garden again, me thinks, the sun is shinning.
Was out in the garden yesterday - so lovely to get my hands dirty in the

Made me sleep well I hasten to add....all that fresh air.

Roll on summer.

Wee Ribbon Bag

Morning all

Hope you had a good day yesterday - sorry to have missed you as I did not
get around to blogging yesterday.

But on the good note I did over 13,000 steps nearly 14,000 best day ever
so one could say you can not have it all.

Went to the Village Hall Coffee Morning - another good day with my cards.
Then went shopping in town, do not usually go in the afternoon but on a good note
there were things reduced and we had lovely Trout for tea last night.

I have been saving this project for the Facebook Challenge over with

were you have to use Ribbon.

If you remember I was playing with my sewing machine the other day and made a few
wee bags.

So here is one which I made using up some white material and a whole load of
Crafty Ribbons - Ribbons some from their bargain bags and some from
special ribbons I had.

I did have problems with trying to fix a zip to the bag using a
continuous zip but it works.

The bag is lined with the same white material

Here is a photo I took last evening of the sunset. The sky was just beautiful

Quote for today .....
