Its all about the dog

Hi there

Thank you for popping in today sorry to have not been around
for a couple of days.

As I said the other day I feel I have lost my mojo, about making
cards but in the mean time
I am working on this......

A soft pastel picture of a friends dog

now nearly finished

Getting there today with texture to the fur.

I am using Velour paper which has a texture to it.....

This is it a couple of days ago.

Looking a bit flat .

Another try .....

I tried with the tongue hanging out but it just does not look right
(to me) so scrapping that idea

Think it is looking better now....  nearly finished.

Has anyone used something to "fix" the pastels ??? Would be interested
in hearing from you.

Will love to hear from you on your thoughts ...
good or bad or ideas.....

I went off to post a couple of cards and took these
photos of our bank which boarders the road.

Just look at all those Bluebells.

Also I think we have a Cowslip in the bank beside our entrance.

Not sure where that has come from.

Hope you are having a good day.

Been feeling a bit down over the last few days
my weight is just going up and up
although I am walking on average over 8000 steps a day
and I am sure I am not eating too much

so today - I am back on the "diet" shakes and will try to
stop or reduce eating puddings apart from fruit.

Not sure if I can deal with this but I know that writing my
thoughts down may help me.

Well best be going and sort out tea

Have a good evening and hope to be back in a few days if
not before.

Thank you for popping in

As always

a Posy of Spring flowers

Hi there

Thank you for popping over today and sorry I missed you yesterday.

Had a lovely time over seeing my family Eldest daughter, Hubby and
Farran my Grandson.

Then spent the afternoon out in the garden

Where does the time go I ask myself.... too quick by half.

So today

Busy making wee cards to go into parcels so thought I would share them
with you today

Used my Misti and made small cards using watercolour inks
on the rubber stamp from

Penny Black.

So quick and easy to make and yet so effective.

Just love them.

A posy of Spring Flower cards

I would like to enter them into the following

It is a lot colder today and there is forecast for rain
I have to say that our garden could do with some rain now.

I hope you have a great day and I am busy today
with a Commission to do a drawing of a "family dog"

Using my pastels for this so it will be on going for the next week
I expect.

Do not wish to rush it.

I feel sometimes I loose my mojo making cards and
think this is reflected in my latest projects.

All part and parcel of the learning curve of crafting

Have a great day

Mixed Media Panel

Hi there

Thank you for your visit today

Thought I would share something that I posted on Facebook yesterday

I have been using my Pebeo items to make this

I have used the fantasy moon and prisme inks with the creme relief paste
to shape the heart.

I think I should have used one of the coloured cremes, silver or gold to
make the heart as you can see in the other photos the heart looks white.

but it drys clear.

But I have to say I like how the paints have blended overnight....
what do you think?

Bit smelly while you work but I so love the way the paints move and blend

It has now dried over night and this is the result.

here is the one yesterday.... note the white heart

I would like to post it over on this new Challenge

Need to get on and look at the Challenges I am a Design Team member for
not sure where the time is going ?>?????

Anyway have a good day
and I look forward to hearing from you

Love to know what you think of this panel.

Yes the photo yesterday was of a bat

Have a great day

Nature in the garden

Hi there

Thank you for your visit today.

Well I thought I would do something different today and show you
a selection of my photos which I have taken over the year
with the nature in our garden

I could write a book about the variety of animals, birds etc etc

But today I was looking out in the garden and saw something rather amazing

can you guess.....

Well it was a wee bat just coming out of hibernation warming himself (or herself)
in the sun......

So out came the camera and photos taken... and then thought why not show you too.

So sit back and enjoy...

So over to you ....

Name that animal

Have a great day

Purple is the colour

Hi there

Thank you for popping in today. Hope you are having a good one.

Been a busy day for me,, shopping in the morning, making a card by lunch time
and just in from the garden, doing the weeding.

It is a beautiful sunny warm day here today. In fact in the sun the thermometer is
reading 40C !!!! No wind at all today.
I expect it is a wee bit cooler than that but it does feel very hot in the sun.
Bucket and a half of weeds straight into the Hotbin. (composter)

Well here is my card which I have made

I have tried to follow the sketch

used up a bit of that die cut out cardstock from the other day and
threaded a bit of Crafty Ribbons ribbon through it.

Then designed the layout as per the sketch sticking down the toppers
from Hunkydory

Inked around the edge of the paper with distress inks
and mat and layered it onto a purple card stock
cut down to a 6" card

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Thank you for your visit I look forward to your comments

Flower power

Happy Easter to you all

Thank you for popping in today to visit my blog

I have had fun making this card. I have used up so many snippets of paper
and bibs and bobs

Die cutting out the flowers and the leaves

Using a sheet of paper with flowers on and die cut the edge.

Used a bit of shimmer card to make the trellis

Added the edge of handmade paper to the edge.

OH NO the Nuvo drops exploded all over the work surface.

Made the flower, added a few drops
stamped out the sentiment onto die cut out snippets from the remainder of the
paper having cut the other bits out.

I have added two strips of Crafty Ribbons ribbon from my stash.

I hope this will follow the sketch theme  I have just flipped image and made it square.

I hope you like it and look forward to hearing from you soon

Have a great day and a Great Easter.
